Your academics
Use your NCAA core-course GPA if you know it (16 approved courses). If not, your overall GPA is a fine estimate to start.
Only used for the NAIA path.
NCAA D1 & D2 no longer require a test score for eligibility (rule change, Aug 2023). Test still helps NAIA and admissions/scholarships.
Register with the right eligibility center
Do this early — coaches can't officially recruit you until you're in the system.
NCAA Eligibility Center — register, submit transcripts. (D3 uses a free profile page, no certification.)
NAIA Eligibility Center — one registration for all NAIA schools.
No central clearinghouse — you enroll and certify through the college. HS diploma or GED is the key.
Your recruiting profile
Fill what you have. It builds a clean intro email plus your send-list on the right.
Your coach email
Edit anything before you send. Personalize the first line for each school — coaches spot a mass email instantly.
What to send / attach
- Highlight film link (Hudl) — best 5–7 plays first, jersey called out
- Unofficial transcript (PDF)
- Season + club schedule (so they can come watch)
- Verified measurables & combine numbers
- Your HS/club coach's contact info
- Academic info: GPA, test scores, intended major
- Camp / visit availability
- Use the coach's real name — and the right school
- Film in the first 15 seconds; don't make them dig
- Send from a clean, adult-sounding email address
- Short and specific beats long and generic
- Follow up once after 7–10 days if no reply
